This painting depicts an artist's studio, where are piled up in the disorder mirrors, musical instruments, woman bust, paintings, illustration board. There are on the right what appears to be a fountain. The set is painted with large keys. According to the inscription, it is the studio of the painter Antoine Vollon (1833-1900), located at 25 Boulevard de Clichy.

Antoine Vollon exhibited at the Salon of 1870 a painting entitled "A corner of my studio" (No. 2920), 162 x 128 cm. He resides at 25, passing Saulnier in Paris. Between 1872 and 1887, his studio is located at 25 Boulevard de Clichy.
